Need a new exhaust,do i but a performance exhaust?? Help

Hi Guys

Ive just had the tear jerking news that my supercharged 2007 HST needs a new exhaust (and Censored loads of other stuff!) do i pay a grand for a standard system or buy a performance exhaust? and does anyone know where to get one from?

....or do i not be a chav and put the standard one on?

personally i would get a performance one. it is what i am after once i have finished the extension. i dont want mine to sound chavvy but just give it the v8 grunting sound it deserves.

I got a quote of £899 inc vat fitted for my 2007 supercharged a few weeks ago

I had a performance exhaust on my last V8 and it sounded terrific - people would turn around in the street to see where the noise was coming from and when I put my foot down the roar was deafening... but on long motorway journeys that same sound wore thin quickly and sometimes I just wanted to drive around and not get any attention.

Long winded way of saying I'd stick with the stock system. I like the understated burble I have now - it still growls nicely when you want it to and is complemented nicely by the whine of the supercharger. But when you are pootling along to the shops or cruising on the motorway it's pleasingly discreet and relaxing.

Only you can really decide what you want though Thumbs Up

I need to replace my back boxes on my SC exhaust - can I asked what you had done, where, and how much it costs?
