United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Lux Bourneville
Possible RRS purchase

HI all - looking to buy a 58 plate Diesel V8.
Trim is HSE with some extras.
I could do with some advice please.
Asking price is £20,000. it has covered 80k.
Had a test drive and all seemed fine but I have only ever owned two previous RR's the last one being a 2002 Westminster petrol. Proved to be a good car but was always worried that something would fail like the suspension etc.
Great for launching boats etc. This time around I just fancied a bit of luxury for my retirement motoring. I have a weekend toy so this would be our day to day transport.
The dealer has said that the best warranty they can give at no extra charge was a 3 month RAC one.
I was also thinking of getting the car inspected.
Anyway - any guidance appreciated.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

Hi

I am sure someone will be along shortly with much better advice than i can give you, just for refernce, i bought my 1st Range Rover in February, its a 2007 07 TDV8 HSE, no additional extras, 43K - it was 20.5K with a 12 months warranty and 12 months roadside assistance, i was worried about buying one after reading someof the posts on here but i really wanted one so took the plunge.

A few things that most people would say are

Full service history
Check to see if there are any knocking noises from front suspension
Obviously the overall condition of the vehicle / tyres etc.

Also, just check what the individual claim amount is on the warranty - my broher in law is a dealer and the warranty they supply is just less than a 2k per caim which doesn't go a long way if something serious goes wrong.

Good luck

Phil Silver 2007 TDV8

IMO it seems a bit pricey. You can get a 2009 year for that price. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool
