United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Buckingham Blue
undersealing RRS

Morning! just wondered if anyone has undersealed their range rover? mine looks a bit more scabby underneath than a car of this age should be, in my opinion. im thinking of keeping the car long term and would like to either underseal it myself or get a local company to do it as its gunna be a messy job id imagine!

if you have done it or had it done id be keen to know more....

thanks in advance. Lee

they do tend to scab up a bit along the chassis,i would say do it ypourself ,if you get someone to do it they will just spray a thick coat of underseal over the rust defeating the object and locking the rust in to fester, you need to get an adjustable speed grinder with a rubber backed 40/80 disc to remove all scabs were possible then buy a decent schutz gun and either wax oil the chassis or schutz it ,messy job but do it yourself and make it right Thumbs Up silverRRS 2.7 TDV6 22"WHEELS FULL COLOUR CODE,STEPS,REMAP..gone

Lee I was told about a sealant that also converts surface rust, but as for me I used a metal brush, then metal wire, cleaned then painted a sealant. very messy job, laborious, but very rewarding. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

JR Classics gets good reviews on other forums (including the classic Porsche one where the guys have complete OCD) - but probably not cheap
