Oil service and gearbox flush

I know there a few threads about gearbox flush but i just had my oil service and gearbox flushed yesterday in my local garage Cameron autotech in Cuminstown Turriff.

What a difference. Thumbs Up The box is now silky smooth. Seamless changes and feels like a new car. I would be quite happy to recommend Cameron Autotech. The mechanics know what they are doing. If you are in the North East of Scotland, Turriff, Fraserburgh or even Aberdeen and don't want to pay Main Dealer prices give them a call.

Aberdeen main dealer prices are horrific. £2100 for timing belts on a 2.7 Shocked

Should really spend more time up that way Laughing

That's all the motivation I need ! (A well known indy in Cheltenham quoted me £550 inc service for changing the belts. Thumbs Up

Shame I'm not up that area, as I'd think about getting my box donr too.

What did they charge (if you don't mind me asking) ?

I don't normally plug any garages but in this case i feel it is worth it. The cost of running 3 cars in not cheap so any saving has got to be good. As Mikey says main dealer costs are high infact very High and for me i get a better service from my local garage. Mr. Green

You should give them a go Frax I have used Cameron Autotech since i moved North and that was over 5 years ago. I have tried other local garages but i was put off for one reason or another. Maybe because i was an "incomer".... Whistle
All my cars in the household goes to Cameron for MOT and service. That's the wifes Tiguan R-Line, the daughters Clio, my RRS and also my Sierra Cosworth. You might not get a cup of coffee in a china cup but you can view the car (so that's a bonus) Thumbs Up People are very friendly and make you feel welcome. (The coffee is from a vending machine and free Smile ) Speak to Roy Cameron the owner, he is very down to earth and a doesn't give you any BullS***.

I will give them a go next time I need anything done.
I do like the fact that you can watch them work - says a lot for a garage.
Strange my wife also drives a Tiguan.
