England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black
Car moves slightly on engine turn off when on slope.

Hi guys,
I`ve had my RRS a couple of months now and am loving it. One thing is bugging me, when I pull up and go into park when I switch the engine off if I am on a slope the car moves slightly (prob only a couple on inches).
Is this normal/correct? It doesn`t seem right to me.
Any help appreciated.

Seems correct as you don't mention applying the EPB. I find some movement in park when I've not applied the EPB.

To stop any movement you should use the EPB

Yes, normal. I select Neutral first, apply the electric parking brake, then lift my foot off the brake pedal and wait for the car to come to a stop after the slight movement before selecting Park on the gear stick. This hopefully avoids strain on the gearbox that it would otherwise suffer if allowed to clunk in to P. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

It releases automatically. But no. Selecting EPB is way to go to avoid roll. 2015 RRS AB SDV6, Fuji White, Ivory

It does say something in the Owners Handbook page 86, about being applied Automatically unless Park is selected and there is also a bit about procedure to stop it applying automatically.

Cheers

You are right. Just looked. I always put it in park though so will have to see what happens if I leave it in N.
