Headlight Washer Repair
Hit a pigeon the other day, it smashed into the front just where the headlight washer bumper cover is situated, on returning home and investigating, the moulding behind the bumper was broken...
Landrover bodyshop repair wanted in excess of £1500..
Tube of Araldite, new cover panel, and some patience and time, has cost me about £30 and works fine!

Good job, it's always great to be able to fix things yourself. I assume the LR body shop quote was for a new bumper, paint and fit.
I had a couple of instances where one of my washer covers was not retracting fully but it is now fine. Haven't really worked out when the car decides to wash the headlamps since there's no separate switch. I assume it counts the number of times you wash the windscreen and washes the headlamps every so often if they are in use but who knows?
I drove over a large lump of mud at high speed in a 911 earlier this month. The chin splitter sliced through it like a knife through butter but the top part bent the grill mesh. I'm very used to taking the fronts off 911s so this will be a DIY repair as well.Mark

Hi Mark,
Yes bumper, parts, pant, materials and labour.. and just to really bump the price up, after care kit.. WTF!
If the pigeon had not been speeding. wouldn't have happened !
Well it will be fine until the SVR arrives !5.0 Ltr Superchrged RRS2, Chile Red, Sideways out of junctions!
