Your opinion / advice please chaps | |
Hi there
A while my MY11 had a slight oil leak, which went in and was sorted.
Early this month it had it's MoT and 4th year service, all seemed OK until last week when I noticed oil spots again on drive.
I booked it into stealers as it has a year left on LR warranty, they rang me and said Oil Feeder Pipe is "weeping", we've had a look, cleaned the sump tray and don't think it warrants replacing pipe as its a 360.00 repair!
I did point out the currently on my drive is oil that should be in the engine, they said they'd keep an eye on it at service!
Are they taking the p ? Should I be pushing for the pipe to be replaced?

If it leaks or even weeps in my opinion it needs replacing! I would be pointing this out to them, and also that you are not willing to push a drip tray under the car every time you park it on your driveway. 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black
