United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

Haha - currently Miss Daisy is my middle name (but what I do at weekends is another matter between me and my therapist:) )

Half the problem in the South East is that there are so many people and so much traffic that you can't travel any faster than the one at the head of the queue. And if that's a tractor, cyclist, lorry, horse box etc. then we all travel at that speed. I often take a break in Yorkshire or the West country, and it always amazes me how empty the A roads are. What joy Thumbs Up

I suppose that my point was that, of necessity, I was driving A roads at a steady slowish speed and, of course, that helped with reducing fuel consumption. However, perhaps we have milked this one to death so its now time to get back on the loud peddle before the engine seizes up through boredom Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Robin

I see similar numbers from my tdv8 if I'm doing 40-65 on the motorway, last time I went to York I had a slow but steady run and it was showing 31.5 when I got there. I then carried on up to penrith and came straight home a little quicker, overall average for the trip was 28.5 on the screen and 27.7 at the pump.

Day to day I'm getting 19-23 Smile

Mines a tdv6 2.7 with no egrs . I'm using for work which is 40 miles each way, traffic at each end with motorway in the middle. I reset the computer and it's on 32mpg after 4 days Very Happy

Hi all, thinking of trading my Evoque 2.0 HSE and getting back in a Sport. I hear the difference between mpg on the Evoque and Sport is not much. I'm current averaging about 33mpg on the lying dashboard.

Anyone done the same and thoughts on economy? Evoque HSE Dynamic

Hi woppyman, I used to have a MY12 SD4 evoque and with the journeys I tend to do, mainly very short journeys during the week ( 2-6 miles a time ) with a longer one at the weekend ( about 100 ) and tend to get 5-10 mpg better with the sport. On long journeys ( over say 100 ) the best I ever got out of the evoque was around 42, the sport I've got just over 52, hope this helps Thumbs Up 2015 HSE SDV6 Scotia Grey, ebony / lunar, colour coded, deployable steps, TV, sliding pano and a few other bits. I don't do much town driving - mostly 16 miles each way to the nearest shops on fast A roads, couple of trips to London and Devon a year from Scotland down the M6 :-
Over 16,500 miles in my 1st Evoque - 6 Speed Auto Dynamic I averaged 36.2mpg
Over 8000 miles in my last 9 Speed Auto Evoque Dynamic I averaged 39.3mpg
Over 16500 miles in my SDv6 HSE Dynamic so far I have averaged 30.6mpg
These numbers are taken from my Fuelly.com log

One Caveat - in the RRS I have done far more offroad driving (and in low ratio) than I did in either Evoque, I also tend to drive it harder than I ever drove the 2 Evoques because it is so easy to drive it faster and it handles so well. The best motorway trip MPG I have obtained in the RRS though was 45mpg at steady speed with cruise engaged. Generally on a Scotland to London run I can average around 43mpg if I don't rush the trip. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Wow! Whilst that defies logic and laws of physics im really pleased to hear that. I had a MY12 RRS SC before, last of old shape. I traded to Evoque as we only are small family and the 16-17mpg was getting a bit hard to live with. I miss the driving position and the smooth V8. The new Ingenium is ok, actually more than ok, but it will always be a 4 Pot.

Ok, I'm now on the hunt for decent RRS, 3-4 years old for 45k Very Happy

Today, on my trip down to Beaulieu from Cardiff for the Land Rover meet up.
Obviously the reported inaccuracy of the Land Rover MPG indication would have to be taken into account but still good for my SVR.
