Hi all

So just has my new RRS for under a month and already issues

Firstly there was excessive blue smoke coming from the exhaust when accelerating hard to overtake or take off.

And then today I was driving to work going about 20mph when the car stalled and came up with gearbox fault.

I'd already let the dealer know about the excessive smoke and was booked in for the end of July as they had no other time now I've recovered the car to them to have a look at this new fault.

Anybody know what this issue may be?

Hi all

Just an update if someone has a similar issue.

Originally the garage could not find a fault and returned the car me last Friday (saying it may be my driving style) but it cut out again on Saturday whilst doing 45mph on the A13. Any way the dash lit up with the following:

gearbox fault
park brake fault
stability control not available
emergency brake assist not available


So it went back to the garage straight away and the have called to say they found the fault which was the crankshaft position sensor.

As they have to take the gearbox out to replace the sensor it was a 6-8 hour job

Anyway should be getting it back tomorrow hopefully fixed - but covered under the warranty

I will let you all know how I get on.
