Happy Easter All

During the many times I've removed my Logic 7 head unit I found that the connector to the FM aerial is damaged. It's now at the point where it simply won't hold in place.

I've tried searching the 'net for a suitable replacement but can't find one. LR here in Oman are of no use either and say I need the complete harness...

Does anybody know where I can purchase the connector at the end of the aerial cable so that I can buy and attach it to the existing cable so that the radio works again???

Its a Fakra connector just search ebay for a lead with your type of connector then swap over just the connector, you can change the connector very easily by lifting up a little tag in the middle of the connector, this allows you to slide out the cable.

Hi Flack,

Thanks for the response but the connector on the end of the cable doesn't look anything like a FAKRA connector, it was more like a mini coax connector

Basically I've tried to 'draw' what it looks like if you look at the end of the cable in the diagram below:



So now I'm confused, should I have a FAKRA connection there?

I'll try and take a couple of photos when I'm home of the receiving connector on the back of the stereo, and see if I can find the old cable end if I haven't thrown it away

Time to eat some humble pie. I revisited the connector and you were of course right it's a FAKRA connector. I even tried one of the FAKRA cables and it plugged straight in

Now based on your link I've got the black connector on the stereo and double checked the locators and it seems I've got a FAKRA type A connector.

As a temporary fix I'm going to use the FAKRA to RCA adapter cable and then once I've got the right connector I'll make it permanent.

Have to say that I'm surprised it's a FAKRA connector especially with the simple connector on the cable rather than the full on connector as per your link, it really was just a simple metal connector with none of the plastic body to it.... No wonder it broke after a few on/offs....
