I own a tdv8 and it seems my turbo has problems

I own a tdv8 and it seems my turbo has problems , I've owned the car for 6 months and every now and then the turbos don't seem to kick in and I'm driving with limited power. If I turn the engine off and on sometimes it's ok. Sometimes I have to leave it an hour and then it's ok. Any ideas guys ???

Most likely to be partially seized turbo actuator(s).

A split in the flexible hoses on top of the engine feeding air to the engine can also cause power loss but usually accompanied by excess exhaust smoke.

For the actuators: (see notes below previously posted)

Look under the car, Where the track rod comes out is a plastic cover with 4 plastic clips, pop these out with a screwdriver. Look directly up and you will see the actuator on the side of the turbo, there is a thin rod coming down towards you which will go up and down when you turn the ignition on or give it some gas...

Best way to check it is moving is to have someone turn the key on and off while you look up with a torch,. Free off off with WD40 and a bent wire coat hanger, fitted to the little ball joint on the rod.

Check these first and if still having the problem have the OBD codes read. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
