That's exactly what they would like you to think a bit down market, but BMW, Mercedes & audi offer 5 year/100,000 warrantis in the US and no one thinks those cars are low end, it's just we live in a mean spirited part of the world where if you can get away with offering the minimum they will.

It is all down to confidence in your product really regardless of how low rent that product. LR lacks the confidence to back up faith in their own product. When I bought my first L322 FFRR it had a lifetime warranty that covered everything to do with the running of the car except fuel and insurance that was optional for £1000................... LR stopped offering it after a run of exploding front diffs early on in the life of the L322, many of those exploding diffs were caused by owners fitting over size (in those days 20" wheels were oversized!) wheels but LR still honoured the warranty. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
