There are two camshafts but only one sensor it seems.

Here you are:

Many of us have CD versions of the workshop manual from the usual source (bay of e) for between £2 and £20 but they all seem to be the same. It is a big file (198Mb) so too big to post on the forum.

Edited (sorry - c Censored ed it up the first time. Rolling with laughter 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Paddi, thanks for that, clears things up a little unfortunately replaced the one cam sensor and still having starting issues. Landrover are now going to replace the crankshaft sensor which they tell me involves removing the transmission to change. Not good news Sad will have a look on ebay for a disc will be useful in the future.

Hi no problem,

Well I hope it is being done under warranty. Interestingly the manual lists the CKP as a possible cause for NON starting but not as a possible reason for DIFFICULT starting. This is what the manual suggests:

Difficult to
start:

Possible Causes:

Glow plug system fault
(very cold conditions)
Low/Contaminated fuel
Air leakage
Fuel pump module (lift
pump) fault
Low-pressure fuel
system fault
Blocked fuel filter
Fuel volume control
valve
blocked/contaminated
Fuel pressure control
valve
blocked/contaminated
Exhaust gas recirculation
(EGR) valve(s) fault

We hear many stories on the forum about LR dealerships woeful approach to diagnosis which usually seems to involve mucho changing of very expensive parts more or less at random until they get lucky. To add insult to injury they then don't put the car back together properly setting off a chain of further faults. Just ask RRSTDV8! 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Fortunately or unfortunately I only bought the car last week from an independent garage so they are picking up the cost.
The starting issue is intermittent so when it does decide it wants to start it fires straight away, otherwise just cranks over, so sounds like the crank sensor could be a good call. Hopefully it's not the start of things to come as this is my first Range Rover. Just ordered a manual and put on a comprehensive warranty for when my other runs out just for peace of mind.
