Suspension fault - vehicle lean when cornering

Hi, I recently purchased a 2008 (57 plate) RRS TDV8.

On the last few journeys I have had a fault appear which states vehicle lean when cornering. Occasionally the fault does not appear, sometimes it does shortly after start up and sometimes some way through the journey.

The suspension works as normal, the car feels fine. It can still rise to high suspension and drop to low.

I am not very clued up on cars so my knowledge is minimal.

Has anyone experienced this? if so what should I do?

Anything I can do pin point the cause of this problem?

Thanks!
Stephen

Hi,

I have just read that thanks.

Although I do not have a suspension failure. The car does not tell me slow down nor does it change my suspension level.

I think my car is suffering from a different issue?

Perhaps an air leak? or faulty sensor?

Could be a faulty ride height sensor, a faulty valve block or one of a number of other issues. Really needs to have any fault codes read to try to pin it down a bit. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

If the message you are seeing is "SUSPENSION FAULT VEHICLE LEAN WHEN CORNERING" the action you are told to take by Land Rover is to drive slowly and get the fault fixed.

The system is reporting a fault in the Dynamic Response System which refers to the active anti-roll bars and associated control systems your vehicle is fitted with.

So don't go barrelling round tight country lanes until it is diagnosed and sorted out.

Most likely problems are an electrical fault with the DRS module or wiring or fluid loss from the system caused by a failed seal in one of the actuators.

Brace yourself for a big bill as the active ant-roll bars can only be changed as a complete unit and cost North of a thousand pounds plus the fitting. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Good spot Paddi, I hadn't read that it was a fault message; I thought it was just the usual leaning suspension issue. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
