Hey guys!

Is there anyone out there in my neck of the woods (Bristol) that has blanked off their EGR valves themselves that could help me do mine before a remap?
I've read a couple of guides and think at the moment that I'm 60% confident I can do it!
I'm obviously happy to drive to you!

Will it still drive okay until the remap is done?
Will I just have an engine management on until then?

The car will still drive OK until the remap is done. Are you going down the emulator route?

The engine MIL will normally be illuminated but it has been known for it not to or to take a long time before showing itself.  Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

If your having a remap, then think about going down the BAS route.  In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Not on 2007 it needs to fitted with emulators and blanked off.

They can.

In addition to the physical blanks, the software must be modified to prevent the engine MIL from illuminating. A basic method it simply to remove the EGR function from the software full stop but the best solution is to fit EGR emulators and modify the software to accept these. That way, the car and/or any diagnostic tool will simply see them as fully functioning valves.

I've ordered a complete blanking kit which looks to be of good quality.
I should get that within the next couple of days.

As far as the remap, I've taken Disco Mikey's advice and got in touch with Gary from Alive Tuning.
He's miraculously is setting up in Bristol and I'm going to let him do a remap with the ATRIC module.
