England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver
2006 RRs 4.2 Supercharged, what to look out for?

This has been probably asked so many times, so apologies for being a NOOB.

I am looking at a 2006 RRs 4.2ltr supercharged with genuine 29K miles only on the clock.

Apart from a Transmission oil change (sealed for life? yeh, right) as I take it this age of vehicle has the ZF 6 speed gearbox?

what else (apart from buying a refinery) should I be looking out for?

Many thanks

Full service history, and maintained on time but i wouldn't be too concerned about main dealer or independent and always buy on condition. A low mileage RRS may not necessarily be the best buy. I'd get the old girl checked over at an independent to avoid, as far as possible big bills (apart from petrol, insurance and road tax Rolling with laughter ) in the first year. Any faults found can be a useful negotiating tool.

I'm sure some S/C owners will be along soon to give you their personal experiences. In the meantime get stuck in with the search facility on the site.

Best of luck. Thumbs Up FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Recently purchased one obvious things to look out for is discs and pads, make sure to give it a good test drive and work the engine so it's under load as this will show up any knocking from the engine which could indicate bottom end issues, I read on a forum someone had an issue so thought I best make sure I check the engine thoroughly before I bought mine.

If possible make your can have the vehicle left for 24 hours without being started and make sure the vehicle height doesn't drop as this may indicate a small leak on air suspension and doesn't show up as a fault on the dash ... my range rover sadly has a small leak and is currently going through the process of being traced

Lastly have it looked at on a ramp as bushes are very common issue aswell and may need replacing

Goodluck
