Before I ring them.... I need some thoughts on this one please.

I am currently insured by LR insurance (Zenith). A renewal notice duly arrived a few days ago stating that my renewal would be £307.00.

Since then - I have got another one saying that my renewal would be £540.00. I have a full 9 years NCB. My insurance with LR has been in the £500 bracket since I purchased the vehicle.

On a price comparison - Tesco insurance (fully comp) £245.00 for same vehicle.

More intriguing is why I have 2 different quotes for insurance from the same company - 4 days apart, signed by 2 different people in separate departments. (Customer services and LR Insurance)

Do I accept/argue point over renewal costs..... or go elsewhere ?

I pay £280 with admiral I am 29 and my missus is 24 with points so i think that is a pretty good price I have had a lot of 4x4 in the past, I find it strange though how my 4.2 supercharged is £100 cheaper to insure than the TDV8 :/

Yesterday I renewed with Land Rover Insurance (and they are no longer Zenith) none of the discount companies would give me cover for:
Offroad use
Replacement Panoroof on the Glass cover, they all want it on the main body cover
Cover for the roofrack or trailer contents
90 days European cover
Guaranteed car will only go to a Land Rover approved body shop for repairs and only genuine LR parts used for any repairs.
I am 58 and have one named driver but in a "high risk" occupation - seaman
Quite happy to have LRI's charge as everyone else either wouldn't cover offroad use or wanted £3000+ to cover it.............and LRI the panoramic roof is covered under the glass section of the policy so no lost NCB if it is damaged ( to a man the other companies I asked - LV, DirectLine and Allianz don't cover a pano roof on the glass section). Also guaranteed to go to a Land Rover approved repair shop and get repaired with genuine LR parts. Car is a 2015 (one week old) SDv6 HSE Dynamic. Premium seems to be the highest here at £600pa with Full and protected NCB  2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just renewed for £378 with LR Insurance after Admiral tried to auto renew me for £498 on a multi car policy with my son

Social, Domestic and Business use, 15+ years full clean licence, protected NCD

Using GoCompare best quote was £302 with RAC until I ticked tinted windows/privacy then they asked for £450
