New AB arriving in 2 weeks. Firenze red with santorini black pano sliding roof. Interior Ebony/Pimento with Ebony/Pimento Seats. Timed heating, privacy, mudflaps, bumper protection (dogs!), grand black wood, full size spare wheel. 507 style 21" wheels. £79k pre increase price.
Have now p/exed my Oct 2013 AB with 14.5k miles. Original offered p/ex price was a miserly £62250.00, due to a selection of bramble scratches on the offside, which the dealer reckoned was a £2k paint job, I spent £7.99 on a bottle of G3 Farecla scratch remover, using several capfuls, (and as recommended by a free copy of Auto Express I was given), the scratches have gone. Followed by a polish of Amiga , and the car looks nearly unmarked. As a result, the p/ex price increased to £63750.00. Cost originally £77k so loss in 19 months £13250.00. One service : £400.00, no tyres
I quite expect the dealer to offer the car at £69950.00 with a view to accepting £69k. They'll probably get away with not replacing the tyres as they're good for another 6k miles.
It's ok I guess..before Xmas the p/ex price was £68.5k, so residuals have slipped a bit now. Mind you, a BMW M6 Grand Coupe April 14, 7k, in brilliant metallic blue was being offered at £68k against cost of £110k! But BMW was funding major discounts on these last year as the UK mkt was healthier.
