Ok this this what happened yesterday. Driving along all happy and fine. Then the battery light on dash comes up oh dear I thought" 5 mins later the how dash lights up followed buy bing bong all many hell brakes out on the dash with FDC fault showing up. Radio saying low power then engine cuts out !!!
Car won't lock window won't close and the dash lights won't even light up.
So we called the brake down man who but a booster pack on it so we can do the window up and he starts the engine which work until he took the booster cable off. Then it cuts out again. So on the back of the lorry we go
I now have the battery disconnected and on charge. The belt is still in place so I guess it's the alternator or could it be something ells range rove going on? Any help would be very appreciated.
Ps it had a replacement battery only 6 weeks ago!

Sounds like the alternator. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Almost always alternator.
Hopefully not taken the battery with it, but as you've taken it off, you may be ok.  Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks guys. Oh well I will order a new one brake out the spanners and see if it does the job. Hopefully in hasn't the battery. If I'm lucky the trickle charger will bring it back to life.
