2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Bali Blue

Agree with Joe, a poll isn't going to prove much. Arguably the engine that was round the longest, sold in highest numbers will be most popular on here. I think you need to establish a budget first, then find the best car you can. The 2.7 was available up until 2009, the 3.6 up to 2010. The 3.0 TDV6 was introduced late 2009 until 2011/12 when it was updated with the SDV6. The difference in price between a 2.7 car and a SDV6 car can be tens of thousands just because of the difference in age.

For me the SDV6 would have been the best choice, but out of my price range. I went for the 3.0 TDV6 as performance is better than the 2.7 but crucially the MY10 facelift has a much better interior (IMHO). For me I think relatively speaking I will loose the same in depreciation per year as I would have in an earlier 2.7

Like you, I don't do a lot of miles. Probably only about 6k a year back and forth to work with some occasional longer runs. I could have gone for the petrol but couldn't find a car in the right spec/price range. I also dread to think what the fuel economy would have been like....currently driving around town I struggle to get 20mpg out of the 3.0 partly I think because the box is constantly wanting to change gear to find the optimum in the cold (it is better in the warm and on a run will do around 33mpg). I did expect it to be low as all my previous cars have only ever offered urban mpg for the driving I do. Hope that helps with your decision making but don't be frightened to ask 2010 RRS 3.0 TDV6 - Bali Blue / Ivory Leather / Extended Leather / TV / Rear Entertainment / Privacy Glass / Timed Climate

Some good and very helpful advice there Azz, thank you. I am looking to spend around 30k so the SDV6 should be in reach.

Haha, don't think I'll be in a position to buy within the next month, but it's a lovely motor.
