Thought it would be worth noting, is this the earlier (pre 10MY) or later version? I believe, the earlier version should have a blue LED, the later one being green.

The difference can be important as if the later type is fitted to an earlier vehicle it can drain the battery if left on. Not a problem; just worth knowing. A relay can be fitted to later versions to prevent this if you think you might forget.  Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I believe its from a later model post 59reg, bought it to put in my brothers discovery 4, but never got round to doing it.

I have just fitted one of these that was bought brand new but never fitted. It has the date of manufacture on a sticker on the side. The date of manufacture on mine is 2008 & it has a green LED & it switches itself off when the vehicle battery power drops then runs again when you start the car. RRS TDV6 Overfinch

Hmm, maybe I was wrong about the colours then.

The early ones are controlled by a regulator built into the fridge whereas the later ones are intended to be used with a regulated supply.
