Earlier today, I collected the car from Steve Norman in Somerset
after he fitted new shocks, new lower front wishbones and rear
upper, and new ARB-bushes front and back.

The trip to Somerset was a bumpy one, the car was wobbly and
harsh both in front and rear but mostly in rear.

After some several hundred of pounds have exchanged ownership,
the car floats like a dream on the roads, I have even almost deliberately
driven over wellcovers, just to feel the absesnce of teethrattling

So now it's home to Stockholm with what feels like a brand new car!

If anyone would ask me, I would recommend him.

Arrived at our hotel in Hamburg just a few minutes ago.

Along the route, we took the opportunity to test
the car under speed..

110mph, not a hint of vibrations or other
unpleasant things, just a biig
permagrin on the driver..

Do you mind if I ask - how did you diagnose the problem over such a long distance?

Hello Tims.

You mean diagnose what was needed to do to the car?

Well firstly, knocking in front, when braking..
A good indication that the front lower arms need bushes,
or replacing.
Knocking when going over bumps in the road, a sign that the front
AntiRollBar bushes needs replacing.

Secondly, the cars behaviour in the posterior,
bouncy, without any dampening, like it´s only the airbags that
stops the cars motions,
feeling of "sluggishness" when cornering, like the wheels are loose,
a sign that the rear upper arms needs new bushings, or replacing.
And Knocking when going over bumps, a sign that rear ARB´s need attention.

And to make sure of certain behaviours, I have a similar car
to test and compare with. (brothers D3)

So that was my diagnosis of the car.
