I have an intermittent front passenger door lock that very in frequently decides not to unlock. Looking on another forum I saw a post saying this is a sympton of the lock failing and it is also likley that on occassions the door will not lock when the locks start to fail. So to my question, I also suffer from the car not shutting down properly and flattening the battery, if its not used for about a week. This is also an occassional problem. So if the door lock fails to lock will this prevent the car shutting down and hence draining the battery?
