England 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
OFF ROAD INSURANCE

Am just looking at quotes I have received. Just wondering how many of you have bothered taking it out?

Obviously I wont be doing it every weekend, but I know I will be getting down and dirty at some point.

Can you just insure for a weekend?

Cheers TDV6 HSE 2007 model, Stornoway Grey, Ivory leather,Privacy glass, Premium ICE Pack, side steps, tasmod sills, now towbar and seat covers

From what I remember the only insurance company that covers offroad use is the Land Rover insurance! Others such as More Than I think cover for Green Lanes but as these are official rights of way you would have an argument with all insurance companies that you are covered in the event of an incident. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I've never insured for the small amount of times I've gone off road, but I believe you can do it for adhoc periods. A specialist insurer like Adrian Flux would probably be able to accommodate this for you.

No is the straight answer, NFU give good offroad cover, Adrian Flux when I last spoke to them don't cover cars over £30K off road, LR insurance is quite expensive.

IMO it is a brave person that relys on ordinary insurance when green laning.

I know they fit in with the D3 image for you guys but i was able to get agreement from Direct Line that green laning on public rights of way was OK with them. Steve N | 21MY Defender (on order) | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

One of the major problems with insurane for the RRS is that the car costs too much and insurance companies stay well clear whilst they're happy to insure cheaper 4x4s 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

All the major mags advertise, and plenty of them, just ring round and see what you can get. Nobody is going to make it easy for you?
