My RRS s/c 2009 is due a service in March and was wondering if anyone has used prospect Solihull Service Centre and if so would really appreciate any feed back of their experiences with them compared to using a main dealer

I havent used them but what service are you having and whats their quote? I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

Have not had a quote off them yet , but on their website it say starting from £299, for a 12 monthly service, just seeing if anyone had used them before I get in touch with them, as like all of us our RRS are our pride and joy and don't want any Tom, dick or Harry messing with it. Service at a main dealer is expensive but most of the time gives you peace of mind that they know what they are doing

You'd think so, wouldn't you? There are enough tales of main dealers messing up to make you realise that their stamp in the book isn't that good after all.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I took mine to a garage I use around here. They do quite a few sports and do the belts, but when I mean belts they do all of them, the difficult back one too and a lot of other indipendents don't bother or talk you out of it.

I think I paid £250 for a full service, oil, filters, break fluid, all the pollen filters, coolant etc etc. Oh they also change my diff oils.

That might just help you to bench mark when you get prices. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

My car has full main dealer service until I read some of the posts on here about poor main dealer service so in the end I went with a local company I could trust. They do it all with original parts etc so it conforms with any warranties etc including third party ones. Also the land rover parts supplier Craddocks is just around the corner from them. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

Its in Cannock called Weston Autocentre. Great guys to be fair and I could not fault the service or price. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

I enquired at Prospect following them leaving a flyer on my windscreen when shopping in Solihull. The guy wasnt helpfull at all over the phone. I enquired about getting some OEM tow bar wiring fitted.
I have just continued to use Midland VW in Cannock where all my previous cars have been looked after.
May give Prospect one final chance tho. Current 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE with the usual toys: timed climate, Rosen headrest screens, tow bar with twin electrics, Blackvue HD cam
