Does the 4.2 s/c sport have an idle speed control valve? And if so does anyone know where it is before I start taking it to bits?

When very cold ambient temperature it starts fine but cuts out unless I hold the revs around 1000 rpm for 5 seconds, then its fine. I presume it wants the idle speed control valve cleaning out (hopefully). When its warm there is no issue.
