BMW 335d (from the New TT thread)

Looks nice MDP.. saw one on the road last night.. obviously gave him an Audi flash.. was in the RS4.. he looked like he worked for Audi.. it looked nice on the road..

Shmoogle.. im booked in for 9.30am time for the first test drive.. i maybe putting a deposit on that ACTUAL 335d coupe i drive.. as i have been given all the specs, and they are working out how much they can write the car down by for Nov delivery.

Spec is nice, sparkling with cream dakota leather,

> 4AT High gloss black interior trim

> 494 Front Seat Heating
> 609 Navigation-system Professional

> 672 BMW 6 Disc CD Changer
> 676 HiFi Speaker System
> 760 High Gloss Shadow Line
> 761 Sun Protection Glass
> 775 Anthracite Headlining

I have asked for the body kit to be added, and will beable to see how it looks as their 325i coupe is coming dressed up for the occassion too. If they give me a sensible price for the coupe, with a chunk written down for their 3 month period, i confirmed i will be 'depositing' the vehicle.. its coming in at over £40k right now, plus £2k for the bodykit, if i can get it for £37ish after 3 months.. i'll bite their arms off..

Don't mind an ex demo, as long as i get it for nice price, with options, and can have it when it suits me.. looking forward to saturday now too!!
Have asked to drive the lot.. 335i, 335d, 325.. will build it up from the 325 upwards..

Looks like the perfect spec and for 37k in Nov it's a monster car!!

What does "SA3 Pricing Rule" for the voice control mean?

i was there on the weekend having a little look around.. Bmw have just spent £3m on a new showroom in Solihull.. so ITS MINT.. loads of nice examples on display.. shame the staff are the same as before, but me and my sales guy understand each other and pass a lot of banter back and forth.. this is the closest he's ever got to a sale out of me, as i always find better usually..

But Rydale are also sniffing around.. although they just offered me £49k for my RS4.. which ain't that bad, shows its still retailing for £51-52k.. not bad at all... getting the balloons on the 335d coupe off Bmw right now, to see whether this is at all feasible, and to laugh at the bmw quote when they quote me up..

True enough... worth having though.

So Piano Black trim is an option now too then? Taken it out of Individual by the looks of things. I'll see what I can have a go in, but the Mrs and Shmoogle Jr are coming along too so will probably get the evil eye if I stay there longer than necessary... Rolling Eyes Will be interested to hear what you reckon about them all...

I can't help but thinking.. £35-40k for a 3 series though.. they have always been mid 20's money for me before! in E46 guise, paid £22k for my coupe, £27k for my saloon and £27k for my cabriolet..

And my mate said to me last night.. £42k.. are you mad.. thats only £2k less then an RRS.. wtf are u thinking.. get another RRS..

The CLS is the other alternative for me, but has it seen its highs now.. they are high thirties on 55 platers for CDI..

The 3 series coupe will be the new toy on the block for a little while in this segment, so is the best time to get into one i reckon.. plus will be good warmer upper for the new M3 next year for me.. i personally think, based on the relatively strong residuals of the diesel models across the board, and BMW being the default option for the masses, we will do ok with these models..

oh and that thing for the voice control.. its basically a free option auto built in with the sat nav pro i think.. it adds itself when u add the sat nav pro on the options, hence the goop..

Ah, right... that makes sense.

Re the price worry - you'll be paying considerably more than that for your M3 when that arrives and that's just a 3 series Wink People used to say that to me about my M3... "£45k for a 3 series!! You can get one for half that!!" OK, so there is a price premium attached to it, but look at the car you're getting. I think it's actually a pretty good price point vs value, myself.

I think BMW are trying to push the boat out a bit on prices look at the 130i 31k with toys (i think) but then again look at what you get for your money

just heard back from rydale bmw..

335d se coupe: £38k the grey one with red leather.. = £16k balloon after 4 years. best rate they can do.. (they know i work in finance) = 7.75% APR

Works out with £0 deposit on their deal, as £600+ per month..
err... NO.. thats RRS money that is..

Im looking for £450-500 per month to be fair, so a litle out right now.
But am sure i can improve that residual somewhat, and also reduce the apr to make 'it fit'..

Be doing well to work £150/month off it though, eh? Without sticking any money in up front... in fact, a £0 deposit would suit me for this change what with new baby and house move around the corner.
