I'm looking at the cost of 4 new tyres pretty soon - anybody got any thoughts or experience on tyre insurance. I've done a little research but would like other members views.

I'm going to Trax at Silverstone this year again, (September) We could have a meet there and organise an infield pitch if we get enough intrest, but if its anything like last years miserable voluteers, then i expect it won't happen.

I was up for last year - if I remember right - there was about 8 of us - IF YOU start the interest of early then we may get a better response  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

My BMW tyre insurance just paid out for a nail in one of my 315/35 rear tyres. Tyre was replaced. The tyre was almost 3x the premium so well worth it. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6
Gone - 2009 Buckingham Blue RRS 2.7 TDV6
Gone - 2010 Alaska White RRS 5.0 V8 Aspirated
Gone - 2017 Chawton White RRS 5.0 V8 Supercharged
Current - 2010 Java Black RRS 5.0 V8 Aspirated
Current- 2024 RRS P400 SE Dynamic

Had to activate my tyre insurance yesterday ( Car care plan ) A tyre was replaced this morning on my drive for a £10 excess ( saved me driving around Birmingham & me having to change my spare over ). The tyre was NEW for old - Continental.

£275 Premium in June for 3 years - £200 saved already.
