Was enrolling as part of my PhD last year in Cardiff Hals of Res & there was a desk with TV license folks there to take the students’ money. The staff there later told me that they even let the TV license folk into student rooms to see if they have a TV but have not bought a licence. We have even had TV detector vans in the main Science part of the Uni to see if staff have been using a TV in their offices. Big Brother is watching! |

Born free, taxed to death! Considering the rubbish on many of the "extra" BBC channels, someone has to pay for them!

You are doing a PhD and believe in TV detector vans Its a myth - scare tactics by the BBCs PR department. RRS TDV8 HSE - Hybrid TV - Sunroof - Adaptive Front Headlights - Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 system BMW GT |

Hey, my PhD is in igneous geochemistry! If I can believe in that, I can believe in anything. As long as they can not detect cybersciving, I'll be OK! |
