England 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Santorini Black
Landrover Assist

Had a flat battery last night on my 12 plate Sport, so I called my local-ish dealer this morning. They said they didn't have the facility to recover my vehicle but to ring Landrover Assist because it is still under warranty. I rang them at 8.30am, and by 9.30am there was a chap here looking at my Sport! One cup of coffee and a few checks later, I have a new battery fitted, totally free of charge (not bad I thought due to the warranty running out soon).

Very good service, I am very impressed!

Had to use LRA when I got an oil temperature/level sensor warning last month. Different guy to the one that attended a couple of times to my previous Sport but equally knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Not a Disco this time but a big silver van marked "Land Rover Customer Services" (not AA because I chose to wait a little longer for an LR engineer). Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
Gone: MY16 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Carpathian Grey & Santorini Black Sliding Pano/Ebony & Ivory 2 Tone
Gone: MY13 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition, Orkney Grey/Ivory
Gone: MY09 RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE, Santorini Black/Almond

This guy turned up in a silver van too, I didn't pay much attention to be honest because I was at work.

@362bkr - I'm not sure yet. Already, this 12 plate hasn't been as reliable as my 57 plate TDV8. But then again, I do own my own Garage lol. And I am toying with the idea of an SVR......

How much is it to extend the warranty?

Likewise ive had a positive dealing with Land Rover Assitance recently.

MY60 devolped the old ride height issue - (faulty compressor). Local service/repair couldnt book the car in for at least a week but the guy suggested i give Land Rover Assitance (Inc with my warranty) a call as if their technicians cant fix the issue on site/at home then the car gets priority at the repair centre and its usually sorted within 2 days!

Got home gave them a quick call and a guy was at my house within 2 hours, diagnoised the issue as a faulty compressor, asked me where id prefer the car to go (Stratstone) and said Enterprise would be in touch within 20mins to arrange to meet as i dropped the car in.

They was, was met at the dealers with a courtesy 14' Freelander and 2 days later had my car back, repaired under warranty with a new compressor.

Would def recommend adding it if your extending your warranty as in the grand scheme of things its not THAT more expensive on top of the warranty price and personally use it again rather than wait for diagnoistics at a repair centre.

Thumbs Up
