Well sailed through again, not even an advisory Even my wife's 2003 Renault Scenic passed.......I always use the local council's MOT testing facility. I believe it's law that if they have the facility for MOT testing their own vehicles they have to offer it to the public, though they don't tend to advertise this. The advantage is that they do not carry out any work on the vehicles, so it is not in their interest to 'fail' something in the hope that they will get some work out of it. (I've had plenty of experiance of garages telling me my brakes need doing.....over 5,000 miles later their still fine!!). The scenic technically failed on a number plate light bulb, but the tester replaced this for free as a good gesture.
