2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver
Water on floor at front of car

Hi

I noticed this morning a (frozen) puddle of water at the front of the car (2006 HSE TDV6) on the passengers side.

It appeared to have come from just behind the bumper and in line with the passenger side wheel.

I have checked the coolant level and it seems ok.

If anything the water had a very slight greenish tint to it but I cant be certain on that.

Does anyone have any suggestions what it might be?

We are about to go on a 600mile drive back home tomorrow so want to know if it is anything to worry about.

It has been very cold here and lots of snow if that gives any clues?

I phoned my local indy in the UK and they suggested it might be the screen wash frozen and split. Which could make sense as I am pretty sure I used normal water in it before we left home.

I will try and upload a picture of it later.

Thanks in advance

David

here are some photos - it is still coming out. It seems clear which hopefully suggests its not coolant.

Tend to agree with your garage. Probably split screenwash bottle. If it is the coolant leaking your car will soon let you know with a dash warning of low coolant (keep an eye on the temperature).

Take some pre-mixed screenwash with you in a separate bottle and squirt it on the screen if you need to clean it on the journey home?

Hope the skiing was good. Where are you? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Hi Paddi

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have had the low coolant level warning on the dash since I got the car which I should have got round to fixing by now!

I have left a container under the drip to collect some water and it is definitely blueish in colour so it must be screen wash.

We are in La Plagne and the conditions have been fantastic.

Thanks again.

David
