As my vehicle will be coming upto 3 year old at the end of February I thought i'd ask how much can i expect to pay for an extended warranty ?
I'm sure i have read somewhere that there are two types of warranty. Has anyone recently extended their warranty on a 3 year old vehicle ? If so, which warranty have you gone for and at what cost ?
My vehicle has only covered 23500 miles at the moment, so i don't expect it to have covered much more than 25000 miles when it reaches it 3rd birthday.

The two types are used car or extended. The trick is to extend before current one runs out so avoiding 150 inspection fee
Think the extended one is 1000 quid, with no limits the other has maximum of 3500 per claim and around 900.
You can buy both on line via monthly DD or from a dealer for one off sum.

Yeah L/R do offer two one being L/R Extended Warranty the other being L/R Select Extended Warranty, the better one is the first as there are no claim limits. I have the Extended Warranty which includes the MOT warranty which covers MOT repairs up to £750 + Land Rover Assistance and if I remember correctly it was £1090.00 for the year.

If you're happy with your LR dealership's ability to work on your RRS (and some of them are shockingly bad), then get LR's extended warranty. Unlimited claims up to the price of the vehicle. It covers just about everything - I even had ARB bushes done on it once! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Get LR Assist too. You have to pay extra for it, of course, but I can't fault their performance on the two occasions I've called them out. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

LR Assist was optional and cost another £150-£175 when I extended the warranty on my previous Sport at 3 years old. IIRC I paid somewhere between £1000 and £1150 for the "Approved" extended warranty (the better, unlimited one) including LR Assist each year. As RRSTDV8 said, it would be foolish to buy LR extended warranty without LR Assist. It is good value at ~ 150 Pounds and covers you in Europe too. However, luckily I never had to use them in the continent so don't know how good they are over there. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
