Transmission "mega flush"

Does anyone know of a company that will carry out a full transmission oil change (flush rather than the LR method) in the Banbury / Oxford / Northampton area?

I've tried searching in Google but the only one that seems to appear is one in Bristol.

I understand that there are a number of versions of this technique including one using a device from Wynn Oil. I've tried their service centre location facility on their website but it just says it's under construction. I've tried emailing them and had no reply. I even tried the old fashioned phone but the number on the site is apparently discontinued!

My gearbox isn't great - revs sometimes flare, changes aren't as smooth as they were and occasionally it has a little thump to the change. I had the fluid changed using the LR method about 18 months ago and I'd like to try having a full change done in the hope of prolonging the transmission.

I know that there are a couple of site sponsors doing this on a mobile basis (using the Wynn device I believe) but one is in Scotland and the other seems to be very busy all over the place from what I can tell from the Disco site. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

RRSTDV8,,
have you checked out this outfit : http://iawaclassicsand4x4.co.uk/index.php . they are in Wellingborough .... is that anywhere close to you ??. they advertise megaflushes from 195 quid,

I'm constantly suprised at the lack of dealers etc who offer this service, considering the amount of people who are looking to have this carried out. I would like to have this done but again, no one in the Newcastle area does this, or no one i have found yet ! 2010 RRS, TDV8
bali Blue / colour coded
side steps / flappy paddles
black perforated leather
22" overfinch

Hi

Geoff came out to me in Kent for a Mega flush which really made a difference. He frequents the Disco 3 forums more than the RRS forum. PM him and I am sure he will get back to you. I have his mobile if you have no luck getting hold of him Thumbs Up

Gogsy 1956 thanks for the reply but Wellingborough just a bit to far but a good price.

Cannon-fodder I will PM Geoff and see if he will come out as far as the South east. I have also been sent a link for LRR an independent Land Rover specialist, has anyone heard or used them in the past?

There are a few potential latent failures with the gearbox that need to be considered before flushing. Before getting the box flushed the fault codes should be read and understood. Geoff can do this but it is worth checking that any company you approach knows how to do this and appreciates the criticality of some of the gearbox codes.
