got Engine System Fault showing.
Could someone please explain how to free up the Turbo actuator rods and where to find
2.7 HSE 2007 sport

ive had a look on mine which seems to have the same fault , dont see these actuator rods tho ?, keep me posted if you find out where they are please

Have just sorted mine out with great success.
It is located on the passenger side of the car. I had to remove the wheel and the heat shields. The turbo and actuator are clearly visible when this is done. I sprayed it with silicone grease and moved it a few times with a hooked screwdriver. After a few times it became easy to move. Started the engine and it started to move on its own. Heat shields and wheel back on and code reader in. Car started and no codes and ESF on display gone

so is there only 1 turbo on the rrs at the n/s ? , i have been under the impression there were 2 ?

On mine there is only one turbo.
I have the TDV6 HSE 2.7 year 2007

hi my rrs is a 2005 2.7 diesel , have taken n/s wheel off and 1 small heat shield at top 3 x 10 mm nuts , i dont see any actuator rod so far is there anything else that needs to be removed ? cheers

Hi mate. When I removed the small heat shields on mine, you can see the side of the turbo. There is a flat plate running across the top of the actuator. The actuator has a round ball on top. This is the piece that I moved back and forth to free it up and squirted plenty of silicone spray on it
The picture i have attached is a photo of the area. The actuator is just behind the bits you see in picture

horray at last ive found it cheers , given it a good spray with wd 40 but off to work now so ill get back to it later it seems locked solid ! , which direction does it move up and down or ?

ooops forgot to update this post , turbo actuator freed off and both egr valves blanked , now running very well all trouble codes gone , delighted with the result
