Issues connecting phone via bluetooth for music

My phone has been connected since day 1 via bluetooth to have normal telephone functions however for some reason it has lost the music connection (it worked at first) I have tried to connect it through the audio menu without success and have then deleted the phone and re-paired. Phone is working but still can't get the music working.

Anyone have any ideas ?

I have had this problem with both my RRS and different phones - phones connect no problem but audio streaming is a nightmare Big Cry

Someone posted on here unplug ipod or it won't work. I tried this and it worked with my Galaxy S2 but just got an Xperia Z3 this week and been having problems again - not sure if a coincidence but when I paired from car to phone did not work, then paired from phone to car and worked but no audio - I then cranked up volume on phone and seems to work. I have not gone back to car yet to see if it still works but fingers crossed Confused

You may be onto something there. Thinking about it now I have recently connected an old iPod with hardwire so maybe this has screwed it up Rolling Eyes

I'm pretty sure it is documented that you can't have Bluetooth music if you have an iPod (or iPhone) connected via USB 2014 MY RRS HSE Dynamic

Definitely can't have Bluetooth audio while using USB connection. You can access your song list on the phone or iPod but it's not very intuitive. RRS P460e

It's a shame because it means you need to disconnect the iPod each time you want to use a bluetooth feed.

Sorry I only use my iPhone in the car so didn't realize that if you plugged another device into the USB that you lost the Bluetooth audio off the phone. I'll have to try it. RRS P460e

I would prefer to use my phone only but find the limited control through the RR interface too limiting hence I switched to a spare iPod which then gives a full control

OK can confirm that it works as suggested above. Disconnected the iPod and the phone via bluetooth appears active again.

Mine reconnected today too without ipod plugged in but as said above bit disappointed that phone music is so basic - prefer the full functionality of ipod Sad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
