Just bought my first RRS 3.6 HST 2008 - Lovely motor and fabulous to drive, drove to Sheffield to get it and having been out and about for a few days noticed some niggles and hope you can suggest or help.

At 70 mph - 2k revs, whining noise is best description, put it in manual and drop to fifth it goes away when I put it back into sixth its there and in the background again.

So having done some digging it seems it could be a software fault or something to do with the Diff or diff fluids..

Thoughts?

Leak - my wife went to Liverpool the other day and it rained heavily so much so on the drivers side, where the airbag sign is on the pillar between the door and windscreen water started to drip on her legs.

Again doing some digging this sounds like it could be a blocked pipe from the sunroof that is supposed to flow the water away.

Thoughts

On the drivers door it seems the bodykit is slightly loose at the bottom, at the far edge of the door.

Anyone know if this is held on with a clip.


Apart from that Im hoping the dealer will honour these and get them rectified by paying a local garage to sort them out, Im not driving back to sheffield.

Any recommendations for a Land Rover Independent near Burnley, I live in a place called Barrowford.

Any other recommendations or updates should do ? The RRS doesn't have a TV/Rear Camera or a USB socket which is a shame as the AUX socket is in the rear which is a pain.

As for mods/tv/rear camera, lots of info on here if you search. Bodsy is the man for the tv/camera stuff But basically you'll need a GVIF - lots of threads on here about this stuff.

As for USB you can buy quick cheaply small lighter socket USB adapters that sit flush with the socket, which is what I use. Every home should have one!
