Chipping 4.4 SDV8

Hi all
I'm thinking about chipping my RR v8 ,
Has anybody done this?
The gains are quite good, 408hp and 805nm of talks
It'll never be a sports car but a bit more go would be nice

It's done and what a difference !
I've had cars chipped in the past but no gains like this has done,
I can't quite believe it myself but after 1st gear theirs not much between mine and my friends 2014 supercharged,
About 5 car lengths over 3/4 mile
Well chuffed and I'm still averaging 27mpg

Who supplied the chip? Did you go for the 408 bhp?
Let us know what you think after some more miles.
Good luck!!

Tdi tuning, it's a plug in box £300.00 , great piece of kit , I had it on my Merc ML previously , each time time you change your car you send it back to them and for £70.00 they load the new software onto it for the new engine and supply the correct lead.
I've done 2k now ,
Mpg is no worse, Infact if I drive it really carefully it's better than is was before but I didn't buy it or the car for that, it hits the speed limiter on the auto barn with ease.
Really impressed,
I can average 34 mpg town and city driving normally
Worth every penny
And yes 408 bhp
I have not dyno'd it but it feels like that and some,
It's the torque that makes it a better car 2014 autobiography 4.4 SDV8. , black on grey , 21's

That is a very big increase.

DMS are claiming 328 and JE show 325.

Both are full Remaps though and not a plug and play box.

Andorra 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Fuji White

Holy c...p that sounds impressive and very tempting at the same time...

I wonder if it helps with the dreadful ever present "off the mark" lag on the SDV6...

I assume it is easy to re program the original settings in the event of a warranty claim or visit to the dealership...

Can they detect the re map....

As always my and everybody's biggest fear... perhaps the pros will comment

Sounds good and all you need to do is unplug before car goes into dealers sounds like a perfect solution like to hear from a sdv6 owner who have this system on there car for some first hand feedback anyone George1980 seems very impressed on his v8 2016 bmw x5 40d m-sport space grey

I'm a teknophobe......

George did you fit it yourself.. was the process as simple as a plug and unplug when not needed...and undetectable

If it is , or is close i'm in and have to have one...

btw... George has improved off the line pick up....

Whilst I can't deny the results, ie the power figures sound good. The normal box they do only adjusts the fuelling. The Two stage thing also works with the boost.

I full remap would look at the fueling, the timing of that fuel and the boost. Possibly the Rev limit and any other parameters that can be changed within the mapping.

I will go with a remap that offers around 330 hp. 360 odd sounds too much to me.

So JE, DMS, Alive or Superchips when they offer one would be my choice.

Ok it is hard to hide a remap, JLR have said on Topix to the dealers to report owners that have fitted an unauthorised remap.

It is a risk to tune any car.

My old Disco 2 was running nearly 200 hp and did so for 80 of it's 93,000 miles. That was intercooler as well as a remap.

Either way I think we wil get a wider power band than we get with the std car. That will be good, at the bottom end and after 4000 rpm in Dynamic manual mode!!!!
