After I pull away quite harshly, usually out of a busy junction, I feel a thudding noise as the box changes from 1st to 2nd.
It's ok as I pull away from the junction, and smooth through the gears, then I stop at the next junction, pull away smoothly, and that's when I hear the noise.
I can park up, turn engine off, return in 5 minutes and it's back to normal.

It also happened today, I had to do a quick 3 point turn, and the noise was worse than ever after reversing with lock on.

Any ideas before I take it in to the garage?
