United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Battery parameters

Hi all,
I'm just doing some checks on the car, want her in top top condition, so I did a little check of the battery today via the voltmeter. I wonder if anyone can tell me if the figures look ok, or if the battery and/or alternator appear to be losing effectiveness. I used the max/min function to record these figures:

ignition off voltage: 12.22V
Engine start min. voltage: 10.40V
Max voltage: 14.56V

After I started her I checked the voltmeter and saw that the voltage climbed steadily from around 13.2V to the max voltage, then she appeared to hold a steady voltage of around 14.2V.

Any good? Thanks all. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

Battery slightly tired but alternator ok, by the look of it. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks RRSTDV8. Seems to make sense, given that I've run her dry on many silly occasions (doors open, tv/radio on whilst cleaning interior, headlights kept on).

Do you know if a tired battery, such as mine, can affect the longevity of other components such as the alternator? If not then I'll keep her until year.

Cheers! Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

I'd be worrying that a tired battery might overtax the alternator. I know they're supposed to be able to deal with these situations but... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
