55k miles on the same pads front and rear.

Ha Ha - that will teach me for bragging. Big Cry

Just had a rear caliper fail, binding pad to disk. Quite a grinding noise.

So time for new Brembo discs and pads on each corner plus a pair of recon rear calipers

Thanks to Steve at Advanced Factors for fast delivery and great pricing.

Also thanks to geoff. for squeezing me into his hectic schedule to fit the parts.

So the old discs and pads actually lasted 61K miles over 5 years years or so

Not bad.

9,000 miles and still the original set of brake pads. Last visit to the dealer showed little wear, but the rears are lower than the front 2013 RRS HSE Lux, Fuji White w/Silver Pkg, 5.0 V8

Not sure if the RR & RRS are the same but on many cars the stability control can use the rear brakes when it feels it necessary - a Jag XF I had was heavy on rear pads (12,000miles) in comparison to the BMW 5 series it replaced which had covered 30,000 before being sold with the original pads.

If you're in the habit of driving your RRS in a spirited way this could explain why the rear pad life is less than the fronts which is contrary to what we'd normally expected.
