When watchdog exposed BMW's similar issue two years ago, there was a press release the very next day offering a security patch.

and at least it proves that my Indie is correct, there is no reason to charge extra to programme the key, he included the coding in the price of the key, £125 if i remember correctly, took longer than 10 seconds though as he re-programmed both keys, still did it in less thatn 5 minutes though 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater ))) |

What Mikey showed was just the way the Gap tool works to code the key, When you use the MSV to code a key that does not ask you to start the engine, it just codes the key in 30 sec's.

I spoke to a fellow recently at a business get together who had his Sport pinched in London from a carpark. A few red faces at his insurance company this morning as they refused his claim saying he must have provided an additional key. As this took place a few months ago, the problem wasn't quite so well known. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Active tracker is £550 and reactive £400 inc first year subscription. I have trackers on every car simply because insurance requested it on values over 20k. Not sure I would want it back once recovered. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Was told today that land rover are working on a software fix and best course of action at present is to make sure the car is deadlocked ie: press the remote/door button twice |
