the rs4 looses some of its 0-60 capability just because its a manual.. u can hit 60 in 2nd no probs, but the gear change from 1st - 2nd. must take at least .5 of a sec.. M3 will have SMG 2 installed i bet so should be quicker from the 1st - 2nd.. and with 400+bhp shouldn't be a prob hitting it in 4.5 i reckon.

looks and image are a big part of it.. how many of the E46 M3 drivers actually drive them to the full potential, or saying that how many performance car drivers drive them as they should be driven? mostly its the image and badge as to why people buy them, and obviously the looks.
