It looks great but you should definitely get a good warranty and the new tax rules mean you have to get your own road tax. |

Tax will be in the maximum bracket and it won't include any. The new rules that came in on october 1st means you must tax it the moment you purchase it if you want to use it on the road, any existing tax will be refunded back to the previous owner automatically as soon as the V5 is processed by the DVLA. |

Tax is around £500 a year but the new system allows you to pay monthly for an additional 5%, or so I've read, others may confirm or correct. 2015 Golf R DSG

Not worried about the mpg as its only going to do about 3000 a year and have been advised by others on here to get petrol as the short distance drives would ruin a diesel.

Doesn't seem too bad a price as it is considering milage but there's always a deal to be done.

Ill see what I can negotiate. The rear lights could do with replacing as they are marked. It seems as if something has took the shine out of the at the top. They have both gone dull and milky as if thinners has eaten the plastic if you know what I mean. I also noticed a couple of marks on the front bumber but it was like swirl scratches from washing so nothing major. Ill have a good going over it tomorrow hopefully.

That's cheap. You obviously don't realise how much these things cost to repair when they go wrong. For example, a new dynamic anti-roll bar (that vehicle has two) costs at least a grand to replace. Alternator or starter motor? That'll be £4-500. A compressor? £500+. Front lower arms? £300-400 each fitted although they can be done for half that by an indie but probably won't be covered by a warranty anyway. If the vehicle doesn't have a perfect service history then walk away. No, really, if there's even the smallest suggestion that it's less than perfect then walk away. There are lost of RRS out there - wait and buy carefully. You don't need to buy the first one you see - there are lots around. Take your time and argue for every penny. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

I have to agree with RRSTDV8, I bought my 2007 TDV8 just a few weeks ago, full service history, before I had it the dealer replaced discs and pads, some turbo work, new Timing chain manifold gasket and a host of other jobs, 3 days later my PAS Pump was making a slight noise took it to my local indie, New PAS Pump, front & rear ARC bars upper and lower arms both sides, and some additional work I'm into £4k and only driven 1,000 Miles, take into account that was full main dealer service history until the last service which was 3,000 Miles ago, the owner moved to Far east to work so it had sat around for a few months, but still not cheap to fix. Warranty Direct after hearing reviews on here I'm buying one next week, they pay out but not on everything.

Just looking at Mark1505's picture of his RRS split in two is enough to tell me that I will/should never run my RRS (when I collect next week) without a very good comprehensive warranty. That is a very compelling photograph! Range Rover - 4.4SDV8 Autobiography - Corris and Black

I diidnt realise some of the main repair issues. I was more worried about 3.6 turbos so overlooked everything else.

If think the warranty prices, certainly with warranty direct, are similar regardless of age as once it gets over a certain age they only cover a percentage of the parts cost. Mine is 9 years old and they only pay 60% of the parts. 100% of the labour though. When it's over 9 years old that reduces to 50%. |

That's a really nice looking car- fantastic mileage. And I like the fact that it's been properly serviced every- many low mileage ones aren't. Good luck mate |

WD will pay 70% for the year which isn't to bad I guess. I'm going to wait for another phone call from them and still say it's to expensive to try and get it down a bit more. They told me it comes with breakdown cover for getting to a garage and hotel accommodation etc but I have that anyway so will see if they can knock that off.
