I have upgraded from a 2006 to a 2011 HSE. One of the things I liked about the old car was that the PDC was always on unless you decided to switch it off. I understand that this was changed in 2007 to a system where the unit only came on if you shifted to "R" first or manually switched it on from the front panel.

I was hoping to adapt the 2011 to the old programming and so I got hold of a PDC control module from the MY2006part number YWC500313. Unfortunately when I plug in the old style module the PDC does not work at all. Seems that there are three possible scenarios:

1) The MY2006 simply does not work with the 2011 system.
2) I have a bad replacement module - despite it being NOS
3) Some kind of "enabling" is required for the replacement module.

I found that out when recently upgrading from a 2005 to 12MY. I have learned to live with It but I do prefer the older system

It would be interesting to see if you can find a fix

Ok Just to provide some closure to this thread. I've asked around and apparently the earlier module is just not compatible with the 2011MY system. Oh well, at least we tried. Just have to remember to push the button! 2011 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
