Reading your costs, on repairs is just a bit of a downer, I bought my 2007 0n 23 september 2014, I drove it for 3 days great car, now its in a Land-rover independent service garage. Hope you are sitting down with a nice stiff drink.
1. New PAS Pump
2. New PAS Belt
3. Rear Arc Bar Replaced
4. Both sides Upper Ball Joints
5. Both sides Lower ball Joints
6. 1 tyre wall cracking ( Not noticed under tyre dressing) After hearing stories about tyres of different makes wear asked for
all 4 to be changed
7. Again asked for as wheels etc off paint my Brembos and new stickers.
8. some other small jobs Transmission / diff oil change
Total Bill so far £3,800
So I guess its costing me just over £1,500 a week to run, but I'm saving on Fuel cost
I do hope this is last of the problems,
Ive asked for Oil and filter change, Fuel filters etc etc in the hope it will then be 100% and trouble free.
Before I collected it from the Non LR dealer I bought it from it had New pads, new disc's, Timing belt manifold gaskets and some other things.
Its like any other Top end car, even if you buy it a few years old you still need deep pockets to maintain it, a £50K car doesn't cost VW Polo money to maintain, if its new or 10 years old. Eyes wide open when you buy it, a top end car with luxury, a host of computers and sensors to keep it moving its going to cost when it goes wrong. If you want VW Polo servicing costs then buy a VW Polo.
Not over the moon to pay almost 4K within a week of having it, but what can we do. For the car that it is I think its worth every cent Java Black 2007 TDV8 HSE (my first RRS)
