Ive had an occasional glitch from the dash ie fuel gauge dropping to zero, when I know tank is full.

but now the complete dash goes off completely..and i mean completely.

Bit disconcerting at night as you can imagine.

most of the time its ok but it can go off and on for up to 10-15 times beore eventually it seems to go back to normal

anyone seen this before or got any ideas

I had this as part of my many electrical faults, like you say disconcerting but I lost all electrics including power steering which when going round a corner is not ideal turned out though just a duff battery so all ok now (after £130 anyway!)
