EGR blanking kit

Hi, im looking for a blanking kit and I've came across 2 types.
One kit comes with 4 blanks and 4 O rings the other comes with 4 blanks and 2 O rings, all the guides I've looked at have O rings fitted just on the inlet because they are there as standard but there isn't an O ring on the valve itself its just a flat mating face with gasket so why are these kits being supplied with O rings for the valve blanks?
Are they still perfectly ok to use or should they be avoided?

Cheers.

Edit: just read the guide on Bell auto services and i see each side of the butterfly housing requires 2 O rings

if you don't need the extra "o" ring don't use them.
I only fitted "o" ring either side my butter fly valve not on the egr
