it was mate, but they didnt do the work.
They were going to strip the gearbox out and send it away, however this autobox specialist said he would do the whole job, as that is all he does, day after day, range rover after range rover.
My box was not totally knackered, just keep going into limp mode evertime I put my foot down, we had tried a gearbox flush first but that didnt make any difference, so the £1800 is just a guideline price. The car/box had done 105,000 miles at the time of change 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

I don't mate, as I dealt direct with Land Ranger services, as I had my rear brakes totally replaced as well, pads, discs and handbrake at the same time. Just ring them up tomorrow, I'm sure either Martin, or Mark will tell you. 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

No problem. I went there last year but he gave me a number for someone else.
They must be doing it themselves now.
Thanks very much.

Are you having any issues currently? Be it a judder, or clunky gearchanges...

I changed the oil and filter in my own box at 115k, but the damage had already been done. Now looking at £3k for a new gearbox Big Cry

These gearboxes NEED FLUSHED at between 50-75k miles...

Nothing to note it drives fantastic tbh. but im thinking from what you guys all swear by i shoul get it done regardless

im wondering if i should check if the last owner done it already.I think if its such an essential service land rover would have done it and this was the main reason i bought a high mileage sport was due to the 100% land rover history. I have been blessed with buying this second hand and it running a dream since i got it. I would trade it in for a younger model if I thought i was doomed to a failing box. Is there any hope?
