Retro Fit Phone Module 2010 RRS

My recently purchased 2010 RRS HSE is not equipped with the Phone module. Is it an easy job to add this? What cost is the unit?
Is this a standard part that can be purchased from a Land Rover dealer and simply connected up as a plug and play module?
Thanks.

Hi I thought HSE had the phone (Bluetooth ) as standard !!!! Any how if you don't have it I assume you will need the module which is located in the boot, as long as you have the wiring in the harness it will require activating at a indie garage. I say this as Land Rover do not activate anything like add on's......I.E modifications. I had powerfold mirrors activated and was only charged £15. Took 5 mins. Look on ebay for the module plenty of breakers with spares.

I can see the module in the cargo area under the small flap. This means that the hardware is there but inactive. Will ask the dealer Stratstone why it doesn't work. Thanks...

I say I can see the unit but I'm not sure - please see attached picture. Is this the right hardware?
Thanks.

It is only clipped in pull it out and it should say what module it is but, I believe most of the modules dab TV etc are just behind that, it means the whole side needs to come off to gain access. ( I don't think that module you are seeing is the bluetooth. )

I can see the device by looking through the removable cover in the luggage compartment. I compared the look of the unit to one being sold on ebay. This leaves me with the hardware in place but not being recognised by the software. i.e. when I press PHONE a message saying Phone not installed (or similar). This means (a) the connector to the hardware unit is not connected (doubtful) (b) the device has been disabled in the software (c) the device is defective.
Any suggestions?? The dealer is having a think about it.
Issue number 2. Th dealer says that there is no Auxiliary Heater with a RRS HSE - weird cause I can see it under the bonnet. The fob controller was not supplied with the vehicle. The dealer is also having a think about that.
Not that excited about my experience of LR Dealers and their poor product knowledge.

There is a message shown on the Touch Screen that says "Phone Not Fitted"
No opportunity to try and pair etc. I see the hardware is present when looking in the inspection area in the luggage area.

Checked VIN on TOPix. The vehicle they have is Arctic White - mine is Buckingham Blue! I have asked for validation. Hopefully they will provide a complete options installed list.

The car will display 'Phone not fitted' until you have paired a phone with it. Pairing can only be done from the phone, not the car so the car will not display anything else regarding bluetooth. Are you saying that after switching on, if you set your phone to search for bluetooth devices the car doesn't appear in the list? It will be identified as LAND ROVER all in upper case. The code is 2121.

By the way, the module you identified behind the flap at the rear is the keyless entry module.

HTH.

When I search for bluetooth devices with my iPhone there is no mention of Land Rover being available. Other bluetooth devices show up but no Land Rover. I suspect that the Bluetooth device is either disabled or disconnected. I can see the bluetooth hardware just behind the Keyless Entry module in my pic.

It does sound as though you have a problem then. The only other suggestions to be absolutely sure is that the ignition must be on, the search on the phone should be done straight away and it can take a minute or two for it to register on your phone. If it still doesn't work with this info then I'd agree you have a problem as it worked first time on my recently acquired 2010 HSE.
